Summer slid right past, and this season we published three delightful new translation titles for the Toad Press International chapbook series:
diamonds & rust, poems by Catalina Vergara, translated by Tiffany Troy (June 2025)
Middle-Aged Man’s Self-Portrait, poems by Yan An, translated by Chen Du and Xisheng Chen (]July 2025)
Leaving the Beach, poems by Ariane Dreyfus, translated by Elaine Terranova (September 2025)

You can purchase these titles from our Toad Press page in the Etsy store, or purchase or request a review copy on Submittable, or if you see me around. I’m excited to help these excellent new chappies find some more readers! Let me know if you have questions about these titles, or how to order.
If you’re a translator, don’t forget that Toad Press is open for submission October 15-December 31 each year! That submission window is coming up soon! Learn more about how to submit at our website, toadpress.blogspot.com.
And, this Saturday I’ll be reading and celebrating poems in Claremont! Along with my friends and fellow Fourth Saturdays: Poetry at the Claremont Library steering committee members Lucia Galloway Dick, Karen Greenbaum-Maya, and George Hammons, I’ll read poems at the Claremont Library at 2pm on Sept. 27.

Learn more about the series and upcoming local readings at the Friends of the Library page. Maybe I’ll see you there!
More soon, I promise.
